Awards Entry Criteria
Nominations for all categories close at 5pm on Monday 11th May 2026.
All nominees must be members of the BFA or IPF to participate in the Industry Awards.
The only exception is nominees listed in the student category; however they must be enrolled at a member College or Training School. Further information may be requested from any nominee to help verify eligibility.
Awards Categories 2026
Floristry Student of the Year
Open to students currently studying a professional floristry qualification, at a Member College or Training School. Nominations may only be made by a tutor and must include a short supporting statement. Nominated students must then complete a formal entry submission, before 5pm on 30th June 2026.
In order for the entry to be judged, the student must provide:
Floristry Tutor of the Year
Open to full or part-time floristry tutors teaching a professional floristry qualification. To be considered for judging the tutor needs to have a valid IPF membership.
Required by 5pm, 30th June 2026:
Training Provider of the Year
Open to BFA Member Colleges or Training Schools delivering professional floristry qualifications.
Required by 5pm, 30th June 2026:
Grower of the Year
Open to cut flower, foliage and/or plant growers supplying the UK floristry industry. The grower can be based in the UK or abroad.
Required by 5pm, 30th June 2026:
Floristry Service Provider of the Year
Open to businesses providing services to the industry (excluding fresh flower and sundry suppliers).

Sundries Supplier of the Year
Open to trade sundry suppliers with local and/or national coverage.

Flower Supplier of the Year
Open to trade flower suppliers without a UK-based cash & carry premises.

Local Flower Wholesaler of the Year
Open to independent or individual franchise wholesalers with UK-based cash & carry premises supplying fresh materials to the floristry industry.

Sustainability Advocate of the Year
Open to individuals and businesses demonstrating outstanding work towards a more sustainable future for the industry. This may include initiatives within their own operations and working practices, or broader efforts that create positive impact across the wider industry.

Shining Star Award
Open to any individual working within the floristry industry or its supply chain, who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to their role and/or have gone above and beyond their professional responsibilities to create a positive impact within their workplace, industry, or local community.
All nominees must be members of the BFA or IPF, or work for a business which is a BFA member.
Required by 5pm, 30th June 2026:
Wedding / Event Florist of the Year
Open to wedding and event florists demonstrating exceptional customer service, design skill, and flower quality.
Required by 5pm, 30th June 2026:
Retail Florist of the Year
Open to shop or studio-based retail florists that offer exceptional customer service and high-quality flowers, operating at least five days per week and offering delivery services.
